I reached out to Brenda from Pottinger Photography back in May of 2015 and had a huge vision behind putting together a styled photoshoot. We wanted a rustic wedding inspiration theme in the heart of Kentucky. Luckily, Brenda knew just the right people to make it happen. We checked out her friend’s recently purchased wedding venue Richwood on the River and decided this was the perfect location to make our photoshoot come to life. After long hours of designing, pinning to pinterest and, gathering all the important details together, we finally made it happen on a beautiful warm November night. Brenda contacted a few wedding blogs including Wedding Lovely Blog and now we are featured on their blog!
The Four Points by Sheraton North Cincinnati needed an uplift and that’s what they got! The owners of the hotel remodeled the ballroom and wanted to show it off. A few of us from the Cincinnati area got together to make it happen. The theme we were going for is black/white and classic to give this ballroom a modern look. Brenda from Pottinger Photography asked me to help with small stationary touches and design. The hand-glittered table numbers and ribbon wrapped menu cards are made by PaperGoodiez. I have collaborated with Brenda on other styled photoshoots as well, please check out my blog and weddinglovely blog for more details!

This summer, me and my husband celebrated our 1 year anniversary (June 14, 2014). As most of you know, our wedding was in Wisconsin but since we live in Ohio, we celebrated at home. As a tradition, your 1st anniversary gift is paper, so I figured why not have photos taken as our “paper” gift to each other. That way, we can physically look back on our 1st anniversary and cherish the memories we made during the photoshoot.
I contacted a local photographer, florist and bakery to help out with a picnic styled photoshoot and decided this is a great opportunity for PaperGoodiez to shine.
Here is a sneak peek of the photos done by Kristie of Dolce Vita Photography (Dolce Vita Photography Copyright 2015).
I did it! I made it through my 1st bridal show! It was hard work getting to this day but it all paid off in the end!
I got a lot of compliments on my set-up and on my designs. The best part of today was I got to meet lots of vendors and network for future collaborative events. We have to help each other out because the wedding business is getting overwhelmed with vendors in all categories so let’s do it ladies and gents!
I also got 3 very interested in brides from my total list of 18 that signed up for the $30 raffle.
Here are 5 things I learned from my bridal show for future events:
How much should I spend on invites? This question is the first question that gets asked in the wedding planning process. Save the dates are sent out 6-8 months ahead of the wedding date and people need to be thinking about paper goods as soon as they start planning their wedding.
The Knot 2013 stats came out with the average overall cost of a wedding in the United States peaking at:
$29,858 (excluding the honeymoon)
…this number will alarm anyone with a normal size wallet.
you might ask yourself where do invites fall within this price range?
The flowers have wilted, the champagne has gone flat and the dress is tucked away in the attic. The only thing reminding you of your day are your photos. The laughs, the tears, the hugs and lets not forget the drunk friend that danced all night. But there’s more to your wedding photos than just pictures, there’s a full story that you want to tell.
Your photo album should begin at “Once upon a time”….and end with “Happily ever after”.
This is the story of how we picked our wedding photographer Olga (Olga Thomas Photography). I included some photos from our wedding and some tips that I think are necessary for picking the best photographer for your day.
I am less then 1 week away from my first bridal show! EEK (squeeling)
I am so excited that I took a risk and signed up to do this event. I really want PaperGoodiez to shine this year and I think this event will help me get out there.
Stop by to meet over 40 vendors (and us of course), complimentary snacks/beverages and door prizes! Hope to see you there.
